Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? You're in the right place! Below are answers to some of the most common questions about vehicle wraps, window tint, decals, scheduling, care, pricing, and more. If you don't see what you're looking for, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to answer your questions and help you decide what's best for your project.

What is vinyl wrap?

Vinyl wrap is a high-quality film that's applied over your vehicle's paint to completely change the look—without permanently changing the paint itself. With hundreds of colors and finishes to choose from, it's one of the easiest ways to make your vehicle your own.

One of the best parts? It also helps protect your original paint from everyday wear, and if you ever decide you're ready for something different, the wrap can be removed.

2

How long does it last?

Most wraps last anywhere from 3–7 years, depending on the material, how often the vehicle is driven, and how it's cared for. Hand washing, keeping it out of the sun when possible, and using wrap-safe products will help it stay looking its best for years to come.

3

What brands do you use?

Avery Dennison is my personal favorite and the brand I recommend most often. When it's time to choose a color, I send all of my customers to MetroRestyling. They carry a huge selection of colors and finishes from Avery, along with other brands and materials I know and trust, making it the easiest place to browse all of your options in one spot.

4

How can I pay for my vehicle wrap, graphics, or tint? Do you offer financing?

I try to make paying for your project as easy as possible!

I accept:

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Credit/Debit Cards (2.9% processing fee)

  • ACH Transfer

  • Affirm Financing

If you'd rather spread your payments out over time, financing is available through Affirm (subject to approval). If you have any questions about payment options, just let me know—I'm happy to help!

5

Do I need to leave a deposit?

Yes! A 25% deposit is required to reserve your spot on the schedule and order materials for your project. Another 25% payment is due when your vehicle is dropped off, and the remaining 50% is due at pickup once the project is complete.

Larger commercial or fleet projects may have a different payment schedule depending on the scope of work, and we'll go over all of those details before getting started.

6

How long do you need my vehicle for?

Every project is a little different, but here's a general idea of what to expect:

  • Full vehicle wraps: 7–10 business days

  • Chrome deletes & wrap removals: Up to 3 business days

  • Roof & hood wraps: 1 business day

  • Custom graphics & decals: Depends on the size and complexity of the project

  • Window tint: Typically same day, depending on the vehicle

If your vehicle is finished sooner than expected, I'll let you know right away! I never rush a project, and I'd rather take the extra time to make sure it's done right.

7

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! I stand behind my work and offer a workmanship warranty on my installs. Manufacturer warranties vary depending on the material used.

8

How do I take care of and wash my vehicle with vinyl wrap?

Hand washing is always the best option and will help keep your wrap looking its best for years to come. While brushless or touch-free car washes are generally okay, I recommend avoiding automatic washes with brushes since they can scratch the vinyl or lift edges over time.

I also recommend using a wrap-safe detail spray every 4–6 months to help keep the vinyl looking fresh. My personal favorite is Wrap Fresh Wrap Detailer Spray, which I'll soon be carrying right here at the shop. It's an easy way to keep your wrap clean, protected, and looking its best.

One last tip - don't let bugs or bird droppings sit on the wrap for too long. They're surprisingly acidic and can stain or damage the vinyl if left for several days. If you notice either, it's always best to clean them off as soon as you can.

9

What services do you NOT offer?

Lex Wraps currently does NOT offer the following services:

  • Body work or paint repair

10

Can you wrap damaged paint?

Vinyl doesn't hide imperfections - in fact, it usually makes them more noticeable. Peeling paint, rust, deep scratches, or body damage should be repaired before wrapping to achieve the best results. If you're unsure whether your vehicle is a good candidate, send me a few photos and I'd be happy to take a look.

11

Do you offer tinting?

Yes! I offer premium ceramic window tint in 5%, 10%, 20%, and 50%. Whether you're looking to reduce heat and glare, add privacy, or simply give your vehicle a cleaner look, I'd be happy to help you choose the right shade for your vehicle.

12

Can you design my business graphics?

Absolutely! Whether you already have artwork or you're starting from scratch, I can help design custom graphics that fit your vehicle and represent your business.
